Josh freaking Hamilton - everyone's hero

This has always been one of my biggest irritations in life.  Let me get this straight.  I need to do a bunch of hard drugs and drink heavily, ruin my life, and then stop and I am a GREAT story.  Really?  REALLY?!  Doesn't ANYONE see the flaw in that logic?  How about we celebrate NOT ever going down that road and just being normal to begin with?  So I am going to go out, buy an 8 ball of coke, get some rock...snort and smoke it up daily for a year and then quit and go back to work.  Will everyone think I am a GREAT story or a degenerate?  I guess if I played that baseball sport, I would be God's gift to humans.  I just can't comprehend it.  Every time I hear someone say on TV or anywhere how he is a GREAT story, I want to vomit.  He's a great baseball player...but don't ever try to convince me how great of a story/human he is because people like Albert Pujols and Derek Jeter are able to be great players and did not need to throw their lives in the gutter first to do it.

Fantasy football

I hate Fantasy football for what it has done to sports...people looks now at who is best based on stats only...that's stupid and shallow.  We used to care about winners...now there are special segments to celebrate stats...really?  special shows about fantasy football?  What does that teach the youth?  A garbage TD is better than a 5 yard run to seal the win?  YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME....where are the special segments for winning?

Moss and Favre and Sportscenter

Stop it, just stop it with the "fantasy" talk like this is the best tandem that has ever existed and how it is a dream come true.  Favre is "legendary".  Tom Brady, HANDS DOWN, will go down as a better QB than Favre ever can claim to be.  How many game killing interceptions has he thrown in conference championship games.  How many 50 TD seasons does Favre have.  He has 2 MVPs...big whoop.  So if Randy Moss went to play with Kurt Warner, would that be a fanstasy too...Wow, Sportscenter you always blow, but this is some special kind of blowing...Favre is not very good now...he's just not...any other QB who puts up his numbers is benched...he is heralded despite winning one super bowl eons ago...Will it make Minnesota better?...I would think so. But don't sit here and pretend like this is the number 1 QB to WR combo ever or even this year...especially since Brady is better than Favre...and that is UNDISPUTABLE....This coming from a Broncos fan, folks...I'd argue Kyle Orton may be better than Favre is at this point in his career, but that would not be an impartial conversation.

I guess everyone is smarter than Bill Belichick...you people crack me up.  How many super bowls have you won, huh (not counting video games)?  I am so happy that the players finally are speaking out over you foolish fans...they deserve so much better than you.  Denver won 2 super bowls and I am very happy with them as a franchise either way.  I root for them every week.  I don't question their football IQ.  When they draft or pick up players, I will say who I wanted, but not say, "oh, they don't know what they are doing...they are morons."  They do it every day of their lives.  You sit here, have no idea what is going on, and make rash irrationalizations about everything.  Denver traded Cutler and Marshall...I stand by their decisions even though many of you all thought it was stupid.  The Broncos are the same with or without them...The Pats get a pick and Belichick must see something or he wouldn't have done this.  Either way, he won you three super bowls so give the guy some freaking credit on knowing what he is doing.

Thoughts on watching UFC 119

MMA is alright, but you never know when people are going to dance around for 3 rounds and then it's left up to a judge.  Let them go until it's over.  I don't want 3 humans telling me who won.  At least poll the crowd.  Wouldn't you want the guy the crowd wants to see?  The first two matches had wrong decisions.  When the crowd boos the decision you screwed up.  It's not a dance contest...it's a fight and I thought it had to be entertaining or Dana White won't book you?  I thought I was told there were guys with good records who don't get booked because they are boring?  Make up your minds UFC.  I tried.  It was alright...for 5 bucks, it was fine for what it was.  I just don't find it any more special than what I watch on Spike TV.  There also needs to be a title match per ppv.  I don't care if there are 12 titles.  At least one should be defended.  Most of the matches are just random.  They should have matches for #1 contership at least.  Or have a tournament.  It's pretty much the same match every time with different competitors.  Maybe I am polluted with wrestling, but I think there should be some character to a show.  It's a competition, yes, but it's also a show.  People don't pay lots of money to watch chess/checkers.  They want to be entertained.  Football is legitimate competition, but it also entertains because you don't know what is going to happen next.  I think UFC is doing great, but as with everything, it has a shelf life.

Glenn Beck rally

Oh God, now he has done it...having a rally on the same day that Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous speech.  All white's are racist.  Anyone who attends is racists...yadda yadda yadda...I am SO tired of being labeled a racist because I am conservative and white.  This is one of the many reasons I hate the left.  You can't even discuss anything for fears that you will be labeled....Everyone has to have a label according to the left.  Guess what, I am bald and white...the epitomy of evil according to you morons...Keep judging books by their covers hippies.  Fortunately Americans are starting to see through the fassad for what it really is.  A ploy to take over the government and institute a communist society.  Fortunately, we are not all mindless lemmings....I guess we will see in this November's election.

Really?  And Yahoo has the AUDACITY to say "well-deserved".  Give me a break.  He was aight....I thought it was a joke for him to be honored as one of the 50 greatest players, but to erect a statue??  What did he do?  He put up Grant Hill stats (look it up...they averaged the same points for the career with Hill having 1 rebound per game less, half an assist per game less, and .7 steals less).   Put Grant Hill on those Bulls teams and I doubt anything different would have happened.  It's crap and yahoo is crap.  Stick to fantasy football pals, cuz media moguls you are not!
